Our Story
Started in Glossop in 1985. Still here. Still answering the phone personally.
AlarmCCTV was founded by Lyndon Gray in 1985 from a single van and a workshop in Glossop. Forty years later we still operate from the same town, still service customers from the very first decade of the business, and still answer the phone with the same person who'll quote, install and look after your system.
Homeowners protecting family and contents. Landlords protecting buy-to-let portfolios. Independent retailers, hospitality operators, trades and small commercial premises. Multi-site businesses needing one consistent system across several locations. We don't take on jobs we can't personally deliver to a high standard.
Insurance-graded intruder alarms (Texecom Premier), 4K HD CCTV (HIKVISION ColorVu and AcuSense), wireless retrofits for occupied or period properties, access control (Paxton), monitored response, smart-home integration and aftercare service for systems we did and didn't install.

Every install we hand over has to be one we'd be proud to have on our own home. That has been the working standard since 1985 and it dictates every piece of equipment we choose, every cabling decision and every line in the quote.
Texecom authorised installer
Every alarm we fit uses Texecom Premier control panels UK-built, Grade 2/3 rated, 10+ year support life. We've been an authorised Texecom installer for over 20 years.
Hikvision authorised installer
Genuine UK-supplied Hikvision cameras and NVRs with full manufacturer warranty never grey-market clones.
Full commissioning paperwork
Every install is handed over with full commissioning paperwork and product grading details to share with your insurer.
UK-based ARC partner
Monitored alarm work is signalled to a UK-based Alarm Receiving Centre for keyholder and police-response escalation.
Fixed-price guarantee
Every quote is fixed in writing before any work begins. No mid-job add-ons. No surprise extras at handover. Ever.
10-year support horizon
We standardise on equipment with a long manufacturer support life so the system you buy today still receives firmware and parts in 2035.
